MS Walk & Run
On May 25th, I had the privilege of continuing my volunteering with the MS Society at the annual MS Walk & Run event in Red Deer, AB. My part was sending everyone off at the start and then being at the finish line, congratulating each participant as they crossed the finish line and handing out goodies. There were so many incredible people there. Everyone there was working for something greater…helping to put an end to MS. It was amazing to hear some of the inspiring stories of those living with MS and the challenges and trials that they have faced and have had to overcome. I loved their message that You are never alone! …there are always people supporting you and helping you on your journey! I even had the chance to meet and visit with William Boulton author of I Miss Me!
Black and Gold Rodeo
This year I was an honoured guest at the Black & Gold Rodeo in Leduc, AB. It was fun to be in a different atmosphere and I had the privilege of meeting some incredibly talented individuals. It was a great night hanging out with some of the head people behind the scenes and getting to watch some rodeo events.
Blackfalds Trade Show
At the end of May I graciously had a booth donated to me at the Blackfalds Trade Show where I was able to fundraise for Free the Children. It was a great way to get involved in the community and a great start to the fundraising process. Part of what I did there was to have a 50/50 draw set up and our MLA, Rod Fox was the lucky winner who very generously donated all his winnings back to Free the Children. Thank you!
MS Bike Tour
Again I was able to help out the Central Alberta MS Society with yet another successful event. For this event I was able to be at the Finish Line, cheering on each cyclist that crossed the finish line after a long day. It was amazing seeing these individuals all accomplish such a great task and that they were doing it all for such a great cause.
Blackfalds Days Parade
This year I got to be in the Blackfalds Days parade and I had such a fun time riding in the truck and waving to everyone. It was really cute seeing the younger kids wave at me and hearing them say, “there’s the princess!” After the parade I went over to the Kids zone where I got hang out and visit with all kinds of people. There was a free BBQ, bouncy castles, games, prizes and even a petting zoo. This was a great event where you could really see the community come together and just have fun! I was even in the Lacombe Globe for it–how fun!
Photo shoot with Traptow Photography
I had the privilege of working with Traptow photography as they were yet another amazing sponsor for Miss Teenage Central Alberta. I was able to spend the evening shooting in downtown Red Deer and was able to have a lot of fun with that. The photographer, Jonathan Elhard was great to work with and was able to create some really great images. Here are a few pictures from the shoot!
I have continued to have some amazing support from my in-kind sponsors. Lash Diva, Nail Zensation and Organic Tan Franchise have all been so great at making sure that I continually look the part for all my events and appearances. It has been my pleasure getting to work with each of them and they are all places I would highly recommend to others.
~I am not exactly sure what happened to these past few months, but time honestly just seems to fly by lately! Nationals is now less than a month a way, and I am beyond excited to head to Toronto for what I know will be an amazing and unforgettable week!~
Thank you so much for everyones love and support! I really do appreciate it all!
