The Journey thus far has been crazy! Between being crowned Miss Teenage Central Alberta, school, work, sports and dance life has been pretty hectic but its all worth it. I find it amazing how having a title allows for so many amazing experiences and opportunities to meet people. Its only the beginning of my journey and I have already been able to be more involved in the community, have amazing sponsorships and network with people I would probably never had done so otherwise.

Here are some of my first appearances that I had the privilege of attending:
The Princess Ball : This was such a fun experience. The Princess Ball was created to bring awareness to Cystic Fibrosis while fundraising for it in a unique way. There were so many little princesses from all over Central Alberta there for a good time with dancing, games, crafts, snacks and a silent auction to end the day.

A Princess Tea: Once again I got to be surrounded by princesses and even a few princes for the day. This Princess Tea was a local fundraiser for the Blackfalds Optimist Club which is an organization that  gives kids the opportunity to become the best they can be. They put their attention on the needs of kids and allow kids the opportunity to be kids.

Over the last little while I have also had the opportunity to be a part of the Calgary Grad & Pageant Gown Rental photo shoot where I was able to model several different dresses for their new catalogue. This was a great experience for me and I got to work with some incredible people.

Along with these events I have also had the privilege of meeting with the Canadian Mental Health Association to learn more about what they offer and also to gain more knowledge on the issue of mental health. I was able to get lots or resources from them and I am really looking forward to being more involved with their organization in the near future with different things such as Mental Health week and the annual Wellness Ride that takes place in August to bring awareness to the issue.

I am also becoming involved with the Walk for Wellness and Suicide Prevention  event that takes place in September. I am eager to begin working with these people in the coming months with planning, preparation and helping to get the word out!

I am so excited for more upcoming appearances and events that I am privileged enough to attend and am also eager to continue building my platform and becoming more involved in the community.

I believe that Health and Wellness is important in all aspects of life and that is why I want to be an advocate for it in whatever ways I can!

I am truly looking forward to whats to come!
